If you are craving for afternoon “meriendas” like I’am and would like to buy a pasalubong for your love ones, try Don Benito’s Cassava cake.
Don Benito’s is a Family Heritage Business which offers its very own “Cassava Cake” and tasty Filipino delicacies. In 2008 it was opened it’s store at Marilao, Bulacan inspired from a family’s cassava cake business “Ree Chichie Cassava Cake” located at Visayas Avenue, Quezon City. If I’am not mistaken they have now 54 branches and they currently open for franchising.
Muntinlupa branches are located;
- 1152 National Road Brgy., Putatan, Muntinlupa City, and
- Princeway Bldg., 272 Montillano St., Alabang, Muntinlupa City
I visited the Putatan, Muntinlupa branch and bought one original cassava cake for my wife, flavored with melted cheese for Php190.00 on the big size. You can smell from the counter the newly cooked cassava cake. Aside from this they also have other flavors like Langka, Macapuno and Mais, available in different sizes.
